WUSM IV

  • Clinical electives are available to 4th year medical students in various settings including inpatient, consult-liaison, emergency, and outpatient psychiatry.   • Research electives are also available, and students are encouraged to seek out any member of the Psychiatry faculty for a research elective. Drs. Nuri Farber and Fay Womer are happy to assist any interested students in identifying a research mentor. Faculty information including their research interests and recent publications can be found on the departmental website. Our faculty is involved in a broad range of research efforts including basic neuroscience, genetics, epidemiology, neuroimaging, and clinical trials for various conditions, as well as in collaborative research with other departments, research and clinical centers, and international researchers.
