It's very easy to visit St. Louis. Lambert/ St. Louis International airport has many flights, including Southwest Airlines, and is located on the local light rail line, the Metrolink. When travelling, you can take the Metrolink directly from either airport terminals to the Central West End stop, where the medical campus is located ($2.25 for a single, one-way ticket). Upon exiting the Metrolink to the west, you will be on the Washington University Medical Campus, just across the street from Barnes-Jewish Hospital where our program is primarily located. This stop is also a very short walk to the Parkway Hotel, located at the edge of the medical campus, and a modest walk to two other hotels, a Comfort Inn and the Chase Park Plaza. Staying in the Central West End will give you the opportunity to see the neighborhood next to the medical campus, where many residents live. If staying at these hotels during your interview is a hardship, you may contact the program, and we will put you in touch with residents that have offered to host interviewing students.
Here is a map of the medical center that will direct you to the Parkway Hotel or the Metrolink. It will also guide you to the residency office.
