Ellen Fitzsimmons-Craft, Ph. D.
T32 Predoctoral Research Fellow
Ellen Fitzsimmons-Craft is a postdoctoral fellow in the Weight Management and Eating Disorders Research Program. Ellen received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014 and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Notre Dame in 2008. Her primary research interests involve the etiology and maintenance of body dissatisfaction and disordered eating, with particular interest in the influence of sociocultural factors on such pathology (e.g., social comparison). She is especially intrigued by the high rates of body dissatisfaction and disordered eating found in certain vulnerable groups (e.g., college women) and factors that may contribute to this. Ellen is also interested in the evidence-based prevention and treatment of eating disorders and obesity, including the use of technology for intervention delivery.
