We are a collaborative research team composed of approximately 15 members (undergraduates through faculty) with research interests in the function and plasticity of glutamate and GABA synapses within the mammalian hippocampus, a region notable for its beautiful and accessible anatomy, importance to normal learning and memory, and susceptibility to disease. We are interested in understanding both control of presynaptic release of neurotransmitter and the function of the postsynaptic receptors responsible for neurotransmission.

Welcome to our lab,
